What To Expect

We hope you’ll join us for a weekend service to see for yourself what we’re about.  At Christ Church of Orlando we want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere, without the stress of a wondering what to expect when you arrive.  We know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions:
    • How do I get there?…
    • What should I wear?…
    • What’s available for my kids?…
    • What should I expect?

Here is a quick look at what you can expect when you visit Christ Church of Orlando.

What Should I Wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually or come in a suit, either way you’ll fit right in.  After all, we have a pastor that sometimes wears jeans and sometimes wears a suit.

Starting Point Guest Center  (Room 109, Building A)
When you arrive consider starting here and you can find general information about Christ Church of Orlando, as well as facility directions and helpful information about our programs and services.   Whether you need childcare or are looking for the restrooms, you can find all the help you need at the Starting Point Guest Center.

Worship Service
As you enter the main sanctuary (Building A.), a smiling greeter or usher will help you find a good seat.  You'll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues.  We’ll even give you a helpful handout with the Bible passages. What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to use during the week.  We want to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God can give us.

Children
Because we are a church that wants to help the entire family, children ages 4 through grade 5 start with us in the main sanctuary.  After some uplifting music, the children are invited to go to either "WKPG Studio"  (Where Kids Praise God) or "Kritter Junction."  Regardless of their ages your child will find a fun and safe environment to explore Christ at their level.  If you’d like, you are more than welcome to go with your child to see just how good it is!

"Toddler Town" (ages 2 - 3) and Nursery (infants 0 –  2 yr) are available prior to each service in the Journey Complex, Building B, and will last until the conclusion of the service.

We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a safe learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a fun place to learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached;  you’ll see that in the buildings the children meet in, and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids.

FINALLY...

Whether you’re a spiritual seeker who’s just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, Christ Church of Orlando has you in mind!   We hope that getting some of this “stuff” out of the way not only encourages you to join us for church, but also helps you to connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you.
